As an immigrant to Australia about to take a Citizenship oath I praise this piece and what it stands for in New Australia. so too do I praise the new Aussie nation and how WE stand "for we are one, but we are many" - I hope as a nation we can take this forward to encompass and move forward together with anyone and all who land on these shores, as sorry sometimes is just a word easily given, so let’s work together as one so words are not needed.
The recent bush fires have demonstrated how the stranger is your neighbour and together we stand in compassion and want for the greater good –if any good can come out of the misery let it be that of tolerance, understanding and love for those around us –WHOEVER they may be.
